The thought of not knowing is what really irritated her. She wasn't sure exactly what happened, but she had small flashbacks here and there. Luckily, the forests of perth were somewhat familiar, and followed its scent for as long as she could. She was tired, but not weak. Maybe growing a little peckish, but she had taken decent care of herself in her solo travels.
Black moved along at a leisurely pace, she didn't feel like rushing herself. Her head was lowered and her snout close to the ground, sniffing about, trying to locate more scents. She knew her brother would be closer to the shoreline, right? Exactly how far away was she? Her head started to hurt, and she slowed to a halt as she winced. Maybe it was just time to rest. Huffing in growing frustration, the girl turned and found one of the larger trees in her close proximity. Meandering toward it, she hunkered down with a loud plop!, her aggravation now expressing itself through her body language, and lashed her tail about for a moment like an irritated cat. The girl's jaw clenched as her head remained upright for just a few more moments. A click of her tongue sounded before she laid her chin on her paws, still unable to fully close her eyes yet. She didn't want to sleep, really, but man, she was tired of forgetting and not remembering. It wasn't like her, not in the least. So just what was that familiar scent that drew her here to begin with? "words" @Baelfire |

It had been some time since he’d seen Black last— a mystery figure to him yet also one from the past. He spotted her now, wandering Perth, and decided to approach. ”Long time, no see.” he said as he walked up to the other wolf, so opposite his own colors in fur yet sharing nearly identical eye colors. Sometimes he did wonder if they truly were cousins and not just cousins by association. It didn’t really matter to him either way.
His tail waved behind him as he paused before her, single eye curious as to what she was up to and where she’d been. A lot had happened since they’d last spoke. ”You’re back just in time for my wedding, you know.” he added, his lips playing at a smile. He needed to get on those invitations, now that he was thinking about it. Hopefully he’d be able to send them out and they’d reach their contacts in time. He and Sorcha were hoping for a mid to late summer wedding with no rain. The amusing thought made him chuckle lightly. Good luck, right?. template © bean |
Company. It came swiftly, and it explained the familiar scent. Not that she cared. At least she knew who it was. She feared the ire she’d acquire with Caspian. She chose to not think about that at the moment though, shoving that to the back of her mind. She would see him soon enough. Would he understand her explanation?
Her head raised as bright eyes locked onto Baelfire. He was her cousin, or some such, kin in a way. She nodded at him, accepting his approach. When he spoke, she listened, but shrugged as he said "Long time no see." - yes, it had been. And she wasn’t sure she would be sticking around either. Then he followed up, mentioning she came back just in time for his wedding. A joyous joining of souls, so she had heard. Something most envied, desired, and yearned for. Except her. She didn’t understand it. Nevertheless, she moved to sit upright so that she wouldn’t be so rude. "Where abouts?" She asked easily, her drone like tone never wavering, waiting for the location of such a union. |
