murrough is a blend of blue- and indigo-greys; a nearly silver base coat is quickly overtaken by a slate saddle that spans the length of his spine, shoulders, and front of his forelegs. a darker charcoal lays around his neck, haunches, and tail, and an indigo cape with an exceptionally dark mask sets his head apart from the rest of him. off-white stockings mark his lower legs and belly, with his hind paws additionally being layered with the same dark hue as the one on his face and the end of his tail. a light cream highlights murrough's elbows, haunches, eyebrows, inner ears, and a ring around his tail, and a thin white blaze snips down the bridge of his nose.
for all his varying shades and patterns, murrough's beauty is not the most noticeable thing about him. what most see now is the raw, pink scars that pull the skin tight around his eyes, over his brow, and up the outside of his left foreleg. the outer two claws on his left forepaw are gone. his eyes, once a vibrant violet, are now only a whisper of their former color, clouded over with an obvious lack of sight. despite the somewhat jarring appearance of murrough's face, his expressions are often soft and inviting, and he has an impressive knack for holding eye contact, regardless of his handicap.
taller than he is broad, the wine salesman is well put together, sturdy without being particularly intimidating. his inherent grace seems to add to this; he carries himself like someone of good breeding, so he's often treated as such. before his injury, murrough had been the sort of man that was fawned over for how pretty he was, rather than being considered traditionally handsome. not that he minded.
