Profile of Nairna

A true highlander woman, she is tall and her body curvaceous. Her body speaks to a strength that is forever at odds with the kindness in her eyes. Muscle encases her skeleton, making her a formidable opponent, but the places of her face are delicate, her femininity giving her an inviting softness. She wears a pelt that a touch different than most. Composed of cooler tones, she wears mostly white and cream, with only a few areas of darker points. Her eyes are that of her highlander blood, a bright shade of turquoise. Nairna is 34in tall.

Where her husband is harsh and unyielding, she is warm and kind. Nairna has always been sweet, a warm invitation to a meal hanging off the tip of her tongue. But life has a way of hardening even the softest of hearts. To this day, she will still offer you a warm smile and call you by your name as she welcomes you into their home. In her baby blue eyes though, there is a firmness that whispers of the horrors she has experienced. Loss has forged her into a fiercely protective mother, war has begrudgingly shaped her into a merciless warrior. It weighs heavily upon her though, it goes against her desire to nurture, to see those around her smile. And yet its given her the ability to survive. There is an enduring strength to her, an ability to stand strong in the storm that is her husband and their life. Naivety is now a distant stranger to the woman, she is practical and though it pains her, she knows only the strong survive. Far more inclined to wrap you in a warm hug, she struggles to stomach her husbands sometimes questionable tactics. But she can not deny his success. Forgiveness comes easily to her, most of the time, but mainlanders have instilled a deep hatred that she struggles not to project on every mainlander she meets.

While she may not be a Samaire by blood, she has been married to Luthais Samaire for most of her life. With a marriage that was forged in love and loss, she stood steadfast in the storm that is her husband. No matter where his choices led them, she stood beside him in support. Once a great house, the war would bring them to their knees and leave them to grasp at what little remained. She would lose first her son, slain in battle. And not even hours later, Imperial soldiers were at her door, snatching her daughter from her. It would be this night that she received the scar on her left cheek. After losing both her children, she would not have another litter until 1709, when Raith and Searla were born. It was around that time that Roisin would return home, much to her utter delight. But Roisin's homecoming quickly became a tense occasion when Luthais met her with disdain. His feelings towards their daughter quickly caused a rift.

With war once again knocking at their door, her husband may have found his purpose once again, but the highlander woman found herself beneath the crushing weight of worry. Jacob had returned and was raising an army, he once again called on his followers, calling for their support in battle for his place as King. What would this war cost her?

Nairna is affected by Fae magic and did not age up in Spring 1710. She remained 6 years of age.
