Profile of Ygdris

Ygdris has a base coat of an almost-white shade of silver, overlaid with a ticked blue and black cape. She wears a j-hooked mask of blue and black on her face as well, and a chunk just below the base of her tail bears the same colors. Her face is almost always fixed into a carefully laid scowl, though to many it is unclear whether the expression betrays a cold nature or simply hard-fought determination. Her eyes are the only vibrant part of her appearance, having settled on a dusty shade of mauve. She is a tiny waif of a thing, standing at only 26 inches tall at the withers. Her weight fluctuates depending on the season, but she is typically on the thin side of healthy.

Abrasive at first, Ygdris is what many would describe as an acquired taste... Her early experiences left her jaded and lacking trust in most others. Her father had defected from his life as a soldier and found her mother in heat... And abandoned her as soon as their pups were weaned. The abandonment broke her mother, and Ygdris learned early on that nobody was going to look out for her aside from herself. She is a bitterly independent woman, willing to do damn near anything to ensure her own successes, no matter the cost to those around her. She does not form attachments easily, but despite this has an inert desire to help others through healing as though it may make up for the fact that she couldn't save her mother or brothers.

Born to a Lowlander mother and a defected Imperial Soldier, Ygdris was born first out of five pups. Two of her brothers died in their first winter, furthering the debilitating heartbreak that their mother had faced at being abandoned by a man she expected to care for them. From the start, Ygdris was the most independent of all the pups and she was often the one to lead the charge on adventures to soak up as much of the world as she can. Her other brothers had seen fit to throw themselves into the service of the Imperial Army and lost their lives for the cause, delivering the final blow that caused their mother to wither and eventually, die of a broken heart. Left on her own and bitterly helpless, Ygdris decided to throw herself into her studies and joined up at the College of Eòlas with the intention of giving others the help she couldn't give her family.
