Appearance
Since her birth, Evangeline has always been a large wolf. Were she a human, she could be described as bodacious, curvy, maybe even a little heavier-set than most. When she is well fed, she is all those things, taking up space within a room with both her enticing body and seductive personality. She is covered in swirls of lush, deep russet fur. The color is pure, unmarked by any white and darkening to a near black around her ears, muzzle, and legs. Unbeknownst to her, her coloring is that of her father. Her regal features, however, hail from her mother’s line along with her eyes. The orbs are a twin set of silvery pools, flashing mirror-like in the light. Everything about her, head to toe, seems designed to draw others in. Though one could never quite see her for herself; it is all too easy to become what others wish to see.

Personality
As “Cherie”, she is carefree and seductive, carrying herself with the grace of a jungle cat. Warm and welcoming, Cherie is always quick to smile. She never experienced the hardships Evangeline has, going as far as to enjoy how she pleases her clients. It would be easier if that were true for the woman within, if her past could be encompassed by all that becoming Cherie meant. Not that her clientele cares who she really is; they only cared for the company she offered. Cherie’s love was easily bought and sold, carefully wrapped in whatever form the buyer chose. They never noticed the dead, dull gleam in her silvery eyes where Evangeline resided. It was best that way, for if they were to meet the fae as herself, they would find someone cold and unfeeling; someone spiteful and unwilling to care for another as she had before. When she is Evangeline she is quick to snap and guarded, rage remaining in place where a witty, bold spitfire had languished long before.

History
When carrying a single pup, a pregnancy was easy to hide. It was a lesson a lady, barely old enough to call herself a mother, learned as she hid away from her life to give birth for shame of a bastard child. The pup arrived the color of her paternal line, solidifying the inability for the young mother to ever return home with the babe in tow. Still, rather than leaving her to die, the girl chose to raise her daughter. She nursed her, traded what valuables she had, and cared for the girl until she could take solid foods. Then, with the promise to bring more food, the young lady left and did not return. Having next to nothing, the pup was left with only two things: a small bundle of food, the first, and the second the name “Evangeline”.

The pup lived off the food left to her for a while but, unable to hunt to feed herself, she traveled out of the den when she had finally grown hungry. It was then she came upon a traveling troupe of entertainers, two of which were a mated couple struggling to grow with child. With sympathetic hearts, the troupe took Evangeline in and raised her as their own. They taught her to act and treated her as family, even including her in their performances once she played her roles suitably. Evangeline was happy for a time, the freedom of which she was given allowing her to become a wild, passionate wind. Unfortunately, she would learn that all good things must come to an end.

As she grew older, filled out more, she caught the eye of one she considered her uncle among her adopted family. Evangeline cannot recall when his gaze had turned lustful; she can only recall the night he chose to act upon it. The girl had fought, but it would be a battle she would lose time and time again as months went on beneath the male’s abuse. Night after night she had prayed that her rape be discovered, but to afraid to speak for fear of his wrath. One night she confessed to her adopted mother in confidence, but found her family refusing to believe her. Instead she was met with wild accusations, as if crime for which she was a victim had been her fault

That same night, Evangeline fled everything familiar to her in search of safety and a place to call her own. Ruined and pained, she wandered until a male found her begging for scraps from a vendor at a market. Rather than purchase her a meal, he propositioned her; a night of his pleasure in trade for the ability to buy food for herself. Desperate, she conceded to his offer, and thus her persona, “Cherie”, was born. Eventually, all traits of the girl she’d been had faded away, leaving her nothing but the strength for what she must become. She travels the lands now as her alias, selling her body for items of value and claiming her place amongst the guild of thieves.
