The male's parents died at an early age, setting him on a path of self-discovery and independence. While he never did learn to hunt for himself with any lasting success, he instead found something else precious: a love for reading and learning. He taught himself to read and chose his own name from a book he encountered in his childhood: Arythmetik. It wasn't long afterward that the Lowland native found his way to Melrose, and then to the Arboretum. After a full year of study, the youth hoped to pursue the path of becoming a full-time professor for the College.

After teaching a few medical courses in the wake of the 1707 rebellion, and expanding his responsibilities as a professor in 1708, Aryth did become a full-time professor. He now teaches courses on a variety of topics, including Physics. In the Spring of 1709, Aryth established the Eòlas Board of Trustees. In the Autumn of 1709, Arythmetik was chosen as Princess Mhairi's tutor and started giving her private lessons in the castle. His partner Grigori joined him as a bodyguard.

At the end of Winter 1709, just before the dawn of Spring, Arythmetik and Grigori were married. The Board of Trustees falls to the wayside as Aryth reconciles with the wake of protests and revelations in Spring 1710.

Spring 1710 brought chaos and tumult. Aryth's best friend Nimue was thrown in the dungeon for protesting, and the professor committed his first real crime lying to break her out. Grigori, his husband, was drafted, so they could only communicate through letters. And then, most tragically of all, Princess Mhairi ran away to join her cousin Jacob. Aryth, worried he'd be seen as a traitor to the crown and sentenced to death, abandoned his home in the Arboretum and ran away to join Jacob's Army. Ironically, only now does he realize that war will solve nothing. He's a Voxi at heart, but hiding in Freeman's Fortress until the parliament falls may be the only way to spare his life.
