The boy was quick to nod his head when his new friend repeated back what he had told her. "All water hole." He agreed. "Only Ephy in water hole." That much the yearling could state with certainty. He had raced among them over and over again but only found his reflection.
The teen moved closed once he was beckoned to do so. His tail wagged excitedly behind him. Whatever was going on he was all there for it. But then the youth was easily excitable and simply radiated positivity. He was the embodiment of innocence. "Where Rhiannon?" Ephemeral asked as he glanced around. He still seemed to assume that speaking a name would make the one being spoken about magically appear. He fully expected this Rhiannon to be somewhere in the nearby vicinity. "Ephy good hunt." Had to be adequate for him to have managed to survive on his own. He simply didn't have the social interactions to be able to express himself properly. |
L She watched as his own gaze darted around expectantly as though speaking a name might summon their existence into being. "Rhiannon's not here, Ephy. She'd likely be nearby though." She blinked at him as he did his best to speak on what sounded like were his strengths. Nimue nodded, a frown forming on her lips as she made the connection that he'd been alone for so long, it had affected his speech. She began to look around for the exit to this damned labyrinth of a beach as she addressed him again. "You could travel with me, until we find her. I'm sure she wouldn't be far from the area...and even if she is, you can show me your hunting skills on the way." @Ephemeral OOC: Do you want to move on to another thread with Rhiannon somewhere around the Lowlands where Nim introduces Ephy to her? o3o |
A slight frown transformed the youth's features when he was told Rhiannon wasn't to be found here. That was the second individual that he had been unable to locate. So finding things wasn't his strong suit. It saddened the boy some as he had been hoping to make his new friend proud of him. To the youth that now felt impossible as he had shown he had been unable to find anyone.
But then there was the offer to travel with his new friend and to show her how to hunt. That much he could do. So his mood lightened once more and a bright smile broke out upon his face. His tail set itself to wagging once again. "No hunt here." The yearling stated the obvious. One could fish if they really wished but there wasn't much in the way of prey in the area. Ephemeral quick trotted his way across the sand to make his way away from the beach area and back to an area where hunting would be more plentiful. OOC: I'm up for that. Do I need to start it or what? |
E “Alright then.” She moved swiftly after him, gliding gracefully on long legs until she was able to catch up with him. Nim wasn’t exactly sure what she was even signing up for here…but, she felt comforted by the thought of possibly having done some good. She imagined Braon might be proud of her, wherever he was… |
It was easy to get the boy to agree to most anything. One only need it to pose it as some sort of game and he was all for it. He had one mission completed, he had made a friend. Now there was this new mission of finding Rhiannon. And then he also had to show his new friend how to hunt. He couldn't do that here. Somewhere with lots of trees would be perfect for that.
And so that was where the youth took off towards. He was in search of some woodland space. Prey would be the most abundant there. The lanky yearling could also weave himself easily amongst the trees as that was what he was most used to. So the beach was quickly left, though the boy would glance back in order to make certain he wasn't moving too fast for his new friend and losing her in the process. Ephemeral Exits |
