Slowly the little bundle waddled as she heard something rummaging in the house, keen ears preening toward the sounds. At first she thought it was the little bat and her best friend, though quickly she would come to realize the noise being made was far too loud to be such a tiny rodent with wings. So who could it be? Or what!? Demon and monsters of stories she was told at night had her fur pricking, nervous of what kind of evil might have gotten in. Licking her lips, her tongue lightly slapped her nose showing all the more anxiety that danced into her chest. Glancing back over her shoulder toward where she had last been with her sister and her mother, she swallowed at the thought of running back to them to alert the premises that danger might be afoot. She couldn’t show how scared she was though! Forcing herself to stop tensing, she gave her little bobble of a tail a few happy wags to seem like fear was not her keeper as she bounded toward the entry of the house. Granted, far from gracefully as she stumbled over her own two feet a few times and rocked on her belly before crawling back to her paws again. Coming to more of a creep once she got closer to the clatter, she timidly looked around the corner toward the doorway. Her ears pinned, glancing around before seeing a big intruder. Though she quickly realized by the pelt that it was actually probably a relative. Grandpa or Aunt? She couldn’t tell right away but she inhaled, and her fears started to dissipate. Tiptoeing toward the dark figure, she slipped between their legs till she was up to the mighty beast’s front ones. Would she hate her too, just like mom? A timid smile replaced her joy, but hope lingered in her eyes for some hugs and kisses as a little toddler paw was placed on the warrior's paw. |

This was nearly uncharted territory for her—giving a shit about anyone other than herself, her father, or siblings, that is. This house, however, was not. But she was clumsy in this state—the state of giving a shit— appearntly, and what she's intended on being a quick little in and out gig will surely not turn out to be just that if she kept making the movements she was, dropping the objects she's toted along with her to drop off and leave for someone to find, whether it was Adeline herself or Kenzo or.. a maid? Nurse maid? Did they have one of those? To help with the.. the newest additions to their household? She didn't want to play with her chances of catching Adeline in a tolerable state versus a shitty one, and she could say the same thing for her brother as of late. So she put it upon herself to put what she brought in it's own little clutter. And what did she bring? Everything, really. An assortment of easy meats to pick from that she stores for her Brother and his wife in their usual place. There's an assortment of piles of furs of varying sizes she's dragged inside, unable to decide which each body in the house might prefer, so she opted to buy damn near the whole cart full at the market. She's also tucked away a basket full of herbs and flowers she's had the medics fix up for her, ordering them to find any and all items that are known to help a mother's milk supply, and even supply a healthy dose of natural vitamins—if Adeline would even use such things. But she's provided them regardless. Really, she was going to send all of this with a pesky bird and message, but wanted to make sure it all actually made it here. And so, here she was, trying to keep herself quiet while setting everything where it belongs—to her best guesses and knowledge— and unable to do so while thinking jusy a little hard on how to actually make a proper visit that didn't include her being a stumbling wine-o or a raging—Pitter patter of the tiniest paw steps and what can only be the most innocent, sweetest voice she's ever heard in her entire life has interrupted her arranging and her thoughts. “Auntie Rydur...Ry...der?... Auntie Ry!” a brow quirks and amethysts widen just slightly as she feels the little ball of fur under her, coming to a halt between her front paws. Her ears are tempted to pin to her head, not out of irritation but anxiousness—if the pup was here, wasn't she supposed to expect the mother to come toting along, too? After a few very short moments go by, and she gives the doorways a quick glance, she finally looks down to the girl between her paws. There isn't a harshness that usually laces her tone, no sign of a cold and cruel tongue as a small smile is bestowed upon her features, and a soft breathy laugh falls to the pup as she speaks. |
Any fuel that had started to collect in her head would be tapped down quickly when a smile was offered to her, making a brown tail flail around without an ounce of grace as happiness overcame her once more. A giggle of her own mirrored the large woman, making her little front paws dance in place with unbridled excitement. It wasn’t everyday she was graced with a smile except by the one maid that seemed close to her mother in one way or another, if only because her mother was far more welcoming toward that one than any other worker that might make a stride into the home. None of that mattered at the moment, though, only her aunt did. At least she hadn’t cried this time! It would make it more convincing. Mother did say white lies were okay, whatever that meant. She really just assumed that meant all lies were okay cause what made them white? It was so confusing. Slowly she’d let go of the limb to waddle a few steps forward, looking at the package that had appeared with her Aunt. Her paws instantly pawed at the furs sticking out, finding it to feel soft and tickling her toes, making her giggle all the more. |
