Gwydion nodded his head when she told him relationships were complicated. That he could understand, even without being in a technical one. He had other relationships, like that with his parents and his siblings and those could be just as complicated. His head tipped though, when she asked if he'd ever liked someone. "Plenty of times, it just never... amounted to anything, really." he said with a shrug. "Nothing really deep though, nothing heartbreaking or anything." he said. He'd never found that love his parents had or others had -- not yet. He was almost four years old and he was beginning to wonder if he ever would. "I think it would be nice to give yourself to someone, but also equally terrifying." he admitted quietly. Her situation was proof enough about that, for here she was crying her heart out over someone she could not have. "..." |
As he explained she was careful to lock herself into his gaze, noting how his words were actually quite sad. She could tell he wanted to know what that experience was like, and though hers was not the best she could only hope his would be different. "Well," she said with an almost defeated sigh, "I can just hope that when you do find someone for you, they treat you well." Rayne was sincere with her words. He seemed like a good guy, a caring one who wouldn't imagine hurting whoever his significant other would be. She concluded that whoever did capture his heart would be lucky. |
Gwydion nodded agreeably to her comment. "I would hope so," he said. He would not want to be with someone who treated him poorly. With that, it seemed the conversation had come to an end and Rayne was ready to depart. She thanked him and he simply shook his head after giving her a hug in return. "Anytime," he said with an amiable smile. He hoped she truly did feel better and that she could pick up the pieces she'd lost. She disappeared down the street and he turned to head the other way, thinking about the peculiar meeting all the while as he walked. He found himself wishing happiness for Rayne, despite her being a complete stranger, because she did seem like a truly nice girl. Maybe he would see her again like she said. He knew he wouldn't mind that at all. exit gwydion "..." |
